Research Projects

At iBRAIN, discovery is never abstract, it's the catalyst that transforms real lives. Our interdisciplinary research program brings together neuroscientist's, clinicians, educators and assistive‑technology experts to tackle the most pressing challenges facing individuals with brain injuries and brain‑based disorders. Every study we design begins with a single question:

How will this advance meaningful, measurable outcomes for the people we serve?

What We're Investigating

Robotic-Assisted Mobility:

Our flagship ExoAtlet Bambini trial explores how wearable exoskeletons can be integrated into everyday school therapy, unlocking new levels of independence for children with limited mobility.

Data-Driven Neuro-Rehabilitation:

From real-time vital-sign streaming that helps manage seizure-like events to motion-capture analytics that refine gait-training protocols, we infuse cutting-edge technology into every intervention.

Continuum of Care Studies:

Our translational projects validate evidence-based practices—from cognitive-behavioral frameworks to adaptive communication strategies—so that proven breakthroughs move swiftly from the lab to classrooms and clinics worldwide.

Sensory-Aware Learning Environments:

In collaboration with Temple University and Catholic University, we're examining how color-contrast optimization and adaptive lighting enhance engagement for students with cerebral visual impairment.

And so much more. Explore active studies, propose a collaboration, or support a pilot grant—together we'll turn today's insights into tomorrow's standards of care.
